WordPress Plugins

Until 2025, we focused our plugin efforts strictly upon meeting our clients’ edge-case requirements, preferring off-the-shelf plugins for common functionality. But as our clients and the demands upon their websites grow, occasionally we end up producing something that addresses a broader need.

Venue Events

Currently in closed beta: a robust and performant event listing and ticketing plugin suite that handles single and recurring events, ticketing, and check-in without slowing your site to a crawl or making you deal with the complexity and cost of SaaS platforms. Two-way data migration system (between Venue Events and popular event/ticketing plugins) in development; from the very start, we aim to prevent anyone feeling stuck.

What Venue Events Enables

Individual and recurring events: Weekly classes, monthly meetings, or complex patterns. Set it once, and occurrences generate automatically.

Sell tickets through WooCommerce: Streamlined capacity management, automatic attendee creation, and per-ticket fees only as charged by the payment processor.

Check in with QR codes: Give volunteers a simple scan-and-go interface. Scanning works on any device that allows camera access; manual check-in is designed to be quick and low-friction, for attendees who are less comfortable with QR codes and volunteers whose devices lack (or deny access to) cameras.

RSVP for free events: Collect and record registrations and manage capacity without requiring payment.

Display events your way: Calendar, carousel, and list views. Gutenberg blocks, Beaver Builder modules, and shortcodes. Templates engineered to inherit from your theme and set up so you can cleanly extend or override each part if desired.

Who This Is For

Arts centers, community venues, dance studios, artists, and organizations running regular programming. If you want to own your event data, avoid plugin or SaaS lock-in, and stop paying per-ticket fees, this is for you.

Beta Status

Current version: 0.9.0
Core functionality is stable: event creation, recurring patterns, ticketing, check-in, and standard display options. We’re refining the admin experience and expanding test coverage before public release.

What We’re Looking For

Real-world usage: Put it through its paces with your actual events

Edge cases: Unusual recurrence patterns, high-volume check-ins, theme conflicts

Friction points: Where does the UI confuse you? What’s missing? Let us know about issues and feedback. Your input shapes what ships.
